​At The WONDER Studio Preschool, we blend the magic of inquiry-based learning with purposeful, age-appropriate school readiness experiences. Designed for children ages 3 - 5, our preschool program fosters creativity, independence, and foundational skills that will support a confident and joyful transition into Kindergarten.

Led by experienced educator and director of The WONDER School, Renee Foster, our programming is thoughtfully crafted to nurture curiosity and prepare children for the routines, relationships, and expectations of early school life. When curating programming, we will be guided by FLIGHT: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework, which supports us in designing holistic, play-based learning experiences.

Our School Readiness Focus Includes:

​

• Literacy Foundations: Letter and sound recognition, story retells, rhyming, and early writing

• Mathematical Thinking: Number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, subitizing, patterning, predicting, and sequencing

• Fine Motor Development: Printing, cutting, pasting, and hands-on activities that strengthen dexterity and control

• Routines & Independence: Building confidence in transitions, self-help skills, and classroom participation

Within our WONDER Studio classroom, children are invited to explore meaningful provocations, engage in collaborative projects, and express their ideas through art, storytelling, and play. Every day is guided by wonder—with learning experiences rooted in the interests of the children and supported by the expertise of passionate educators.

Program Schedule: The WONDER Studio Preschool runs from September through to the end of June, 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) from 8:30am – 11:30am

​

Priority enrolment will be given to children aged 4 - 5 years who are enrolled in full-time programming at The WONDER School.  Children who are enrolled in full-time care & The WONDER Studio Preschool, will spend all non-preschool hours/days with their peers in the Wildflowers program.
